But honestly people had to of known this was coming, as time progressed throughout the free agency period teams were getting canceled out by process of elimination by the day. When I first saw Lebron on television, minutes before his decision, you knew right then he wasn't going back to Cleveland. Not only did he look nervous but his bigger than life personality was shadowed by one of the biggest and most hurtful (depending where you live) decisions he was going to make in his life. Remember Lebron was never recruited by colleges because he always knew he was coming straight from highschool. So you'd really have to find a moment in his 25 year life that he has really had to let numerous people down at once, people that were all riding on one single sentence. Sure, no one out side Maverick Carter (LeBron's Manager) thought this was a good idea and most of America is going to tend to agree with you there. What I really want to discuss was the reason behind Miami.

Ok, so your going to play Lebron James. You're 25 years old, won back to back MVPs, Won an Olympic Goal with your best friends, you've shattered every record for your age, and have more money than you know what to do with, and not only that you are a global icon. Now you have the opportunity to move to South Beach with your best friends who are all single by the way, make more money, and possibly win multiple championships, and you wouldn't do it? Obviously your on the first flight to Miami, and nobody could blame you. But people continue to bang on Lebron, without too much of a reason. Yes "The Decision" was bad but beyond that, whats the real problem? Is it because Lebron is cheating his way to a championship by joining forces with Dwayne Wade? Is it because this is so typical of a front running Lebron James, who loves the Yankees and Cowboys? Is it because he gets so much notoriety without having really won anything? Is it because your favorite team not longer has a chance to win a championship now for the next couple years? (Like my Suns) Sure all valid points, but nothing to be this upset about it like most people outside the Dade County area are. This guy in the span of a month has turned into one of the most hated figures in sports. The sad part is its a decision that most of America would agree with, if they were put in a similar situation. Like he said in his interview, he just wanted to be happy, who can blame him for that?
Listen Lebron didn't have much help in Cleveland, as much as people want to sugarcoat it, it just wasn't meant to be and it wasn't going to happen in Cleveland. That Cav team was built for the regular season and would numerously get exposed in the playoffs. When you have to destroy every night for your team to win, its never a match made in heaven. Imagine if Lebron went 6-24 in a playoff game? Is there any doubt that the Cavs would lose that game? Cleveland is a small market that is hard to attract free agents and with no help, no championships follow. Lebron saw an exit and took it, you can question a lot about his personality but he lost a lot of fans, respect, and money to go play in South Beach in order to Win. Just take it for what it is worth and move on.
