Eminem "It Feels So Good to Be Back"

Album after album, year after year many fans have become accustomed to the idea of Eminem debuting at #1. I mean he has done it six times in a row, so no one expected this streak to change. However after the recent struggles in last year’s album, Relapse, many weren’t so confident, myself especially, that Em would produce any more great hits and make such a dramatic comeback.

Relapse simply wasn’t the Eminem everyone was used to. He tried to intertwine weird accents through dark, gory music that many people didn’t like. The fact was Eminem got away from the basics that made him successful and made fans relate to his tunes:
ESPN reporter Michael Smith Tweeted several weeks ago "Eminem's gr8st gift, even more than his unsurpassed lyrical skill, might b his ability, when he's serious, to make u feel what he's feeling."
Relapse didn’t have that same feeling whereas Recovery hit it right on the nail. Hits such as “Love the Way You Lie”, “Not Afraid”, “Going Through Changes”, and “Spacebound” all deliver the emotional connections listeners and I have been waiting for. Adding to this he still has the big hits with stars such as Lil Wayne and Pink in “No Love”, “Won’t Back Down”, “Talking to Myself”, and “You’re Never Over.”
Overall, I think Em finally made the kind of album that we were all waiting for. Finally many listeners can connect through Eminem as we have so many times in the past. The new album has strong messages that Eminem is older and wiser and that he’s grown up slowly with his audience as he goes through the same maturing process we all do in life. The biggest message however is that once again Eminem is back on top.
