Brian Wilson's "Orange Shoes" Controversy: League Preference not League Rule

Giants fans here's our chance to stick it to the league. For those of you that have been following the situation surrounding Brian Wilson and his Orange Shoes know that he was recently fined by the league $1,000 after the Marlins protested that they were a distraction. Well actually the league was wrong in the ruling and this controversy has started a petition among Giants fans. Apparently there is no "rule" about that and it's just a league preference. The petition states:

"We, the undersigned, call on Major League Baseball to revoke Mr. Wilson's $1,000 fine and issue a public apology for their rash and inappropriate decision which led to the sabotage of his excellent footwear."

Yes it's only $1,000 but I believe it is more of the principle of sticking it to the league. Brian Wilson should be able to continue to wear his orange shoes as they are part of his swagger that makes him the most bad ass Closer in the game. I mean what's next someone will complain about how he doesn't button up his shirt or about his ridiculous mohawk. SIGN THE PETITION BY CLICKING HERE.
