Alright Fantasy heads, Its time for the week 2 fantasy forum. I hope your week 1 match ups went well and that you really set the tone in your leagues. Sam touched on the winners of last week in our Week 1 Recap, and we saw big games from Arian Foster, Chad Ochocinco, Miles Austin, and Peyton Manning among others. But like they say in the NFL the championship isn't won in week 1, so regardless of if you won or lost last week lets set you up with the best possible chance to win this week.
Things to Take Into Consideration
We know the NFL is all about match ups so you should be looking for the most favorable ones for your team this weekend.
Ahmad Bradshaw is taking on the Colts Sunday Night, the same Colts team that let Arian Foster gash their run defense for 231 yards and 3 touchdowns. Now don't get me wrong, I am in no way shape or form predicting this type of outcome from Bradshaw. Indy will do a better job covering gaps and do a better job at the line of scrimmage after what happened last week. But keep in mind Bradshaw has averaged 6.9 yards per carry against AFC teams for his career. I look for him to get around 90 yards and a touch. If he is on the borderline, start him with confidence.Miles Austin, I don't know what it is about him, but this dude is going to be a top 3 receiver this year. For a Dallas offense that didn't look great against the Redskins, Austin still managed to pull down 10 receptions, 146 yards and a TD. If he isn't on your team I suggest making a trade for him as soon as possible. Miles has the speed to beat you over the top and also works great when he is in the slot. He knows Tony Romo's game style probably the best on the team, considering when Tony scrambles he usually targets Miles because Miles has the awareness to get in the right spots while Tony is on the run. I cant really see any of this changing anytime soon, he is going to be a star, that is if he isn't already there yet, I mean the dude does date Kim Kardashian... Did I mention how much I like this guy!!?
Anyways, you guys know the drill. Ask us who you should play this week for the games on Sunday and Monday. If your on the fence( Like I am) just let us know and we will make the hard decision for you, or at least throw in some helpful advice.

What do you think about Jamaal Charles over Joe Addai? Im just concerned he isnt getting the touches.
ReplyDeleteWell your right, there is some concern with Jamaal Charles getting the touches he deserves as him and Thomas Jones had a practically even workload last week. On the other hand Addai got all of the carries for Indy last week.
ReplyDeleteHowever, Charles looked explosive and has a HUGE upside. I would expect KC to give him more touches as he obviously deserves them. Furthermore the Colts only ran the ball 10 times last week.
Charles has a much more favorable matchup against Cleveland and a lot more upside compared to Addai who's in a pass happy offense.
I would go with Charles on this one.
I just got Miles Austin!!
ReplyDeleteGot Roddy Calvin and Wes PPR league, two spots. what do you guys think?
ReplyDeleteWes Welker is a PPR King when he's healthy and Roddy got targeted 23 times last week!
ReplyDeleteCalvin is solid, but lost his starting QB so not very high on him until Stafford is back in action.
Go with Roddy and Welker.
Do I really have to bench Moss? and put in Santana?
ReplyDeleteJahvid Best or Lesean McCoy? any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteThe battles of the Moss' is tough and there has been a lot of hype about Moss vs Revis. Santana isn't a bad play this week, but it's hard to play him over an experienced Moss who has something to prove against Revis. Plus there are reports Revis might not be 100% for Sunday with a minor hamstring injury further adding value to Randy. Also, I think Brady will be looking extensively for Randy in goal-line situations giving him a good 50/50 chance to score.
ReplyDeleteGo with "Uncle" Randy Moss on this one, but it's a toss up especially if Revis is on his game.
Another tough choice between Best and McCoy, but I think the matchups speak for themselves. Best is a rookie going against a stout Philly D compared to McCoy against a weak Detroit D. McCoy impressed in week 1 and has a favorable matchup. Just to note Best is also recovering from a foot injury.
Could be a similar outcome for both backs, but I would side with McCoy this week.
Who should I start for Monday night's game, Vernon Davis or Jeremy Shockey?
ReplyDeleteSorry for the delayed response. I would go with Vernon Davis on this one. The Saints have too many offensive weapons for Shockey to have any significant fantasy value. Davis is one of the primary options in the SF offense therefore being a better bet.
