Week 3 Recap + Pickups for Week 4

Week 3 Stars
Austin Collie - This guy continues to impress having his second monster game of the season accumulating 12 receptions, 171 yards and a pair of TDs. Collie Man is now leading the league in receiving yards with 359 and is a must start in all fantasy formats for the meantime. Collie has really shined at the expense of Pierre Garcon who is hurt with a minor hamstring injury. Look for Collie to keep up his production as long as Garcon isn't in the mix.

Anquan Boldin - Looks like Boldin has really found his nest in the Ravens offense as last week he totaled 8 receptions for 142 yards and not one or two, but three TDs. Boldin really lit up the pitiful Cleveland defense and pretty much embarrassed them on national TV. Don't expect Anquan to put up these stats against a much more stout Pitt defense this week, but Boldin is a must start in all fantasy formats.

Peyton Hillis - Where did this guy come from?! Hopefully you added this guy to your lineup like I suggested back in week 1, nevertheless with Jerome Harrison out of action due to injury, Hillis looks like the new guy in Cleveland and may not have to fill in for anyone again after his performance Sunday. Hillis definitely left his mark on the Ravens D racking up 7 receptions, 180 total yards and a TD as well. Let's see if Peyton can keep up the good work, but it definitely says something when a RB can run all over Baltimore like that.

Adrian Peterson - No surprise here, AP ran over, around and all the way through the Lions defense last week. Despite the issues with the Vikings passing game, AP had no problem doing his thing on Sunday running for 160 yards and finding the end-zone twice. Never doubt AP to amaze, although the Jets this week will be a tougher matchup for the beast.

Brandon Marshall - We all knew it was a matter of time that BMarsh would be fully utilized in Miami and he sure was on Sunday night. With Revis not a factor, Marshall really had his chance to shine and he did just that catching 10 balls for 166 yards and scored his first TD as a Dolphin. Look for more good things to come for Marshall as long as he gets the looks he deserves.

Michael Vick - Vick-tor-ious are the Eagles now that Vick is back to his old form. He has hit the ground running now that he has been given his second chance in Philly, as he threw for 3 TDs and ran another one in against Jacksonville last week. It looks like Andy Reid has made the right decision starting Vick and he might not be changing his mind anytime soon as long as Vick keeps up the good work.

Week 4 Pickups

Lance Moore - This guy really put on a show this past Sunday against Atlanta. Moore hauled in 6 catches for 149 yards and a pair of TDs in the Saints loss. Not to mention he had a career-long 72 yard punt return that led to the Saints quick score. Lance definitely had his most productive day of this season as the past two games before were nothing to talk about. It's hard to say how his impact will be week to week as Brees loves to spread the ball around, but he's worth a roster spot if he's still sitting on waivers.

Brandon Lloyd
- Believe it or not, Lloyd is actually ranked second in the NFL for receiving yards with 339, but seems a risky start in most league formats. Against the Colts last Sunday he put up 6 catches for a career-high 169 yards and got himself a TD. Lloyd has had two solid games thus far this season and is worth keeping on your bench, however he is considered somewhat inconsistent to be a starter on your fantasy team every week. Keep an eye on this guy.

Jabar Gaffney - Another Bronco to add to the pickup list is Gaffney, who led Denver in receptions last week against Indy amounting to 12 receptions for 140 yards. With Knownshon Moreno out for a few weeks it looks like the Broncos will be looking to air it out as Kyle Orton has looked pretty solid thus far. Keep this guy in your radar and pick him up if you got an extra roster spot.

Kenneth Darby - Not much to say about this guy, but he looked somewhat impressive when Steven Jackson went down last week, he ended with 49 rushing yards, 1 reception for 8 yards and a TD. Look for his workload to increase substantially if Jackson is out for any period of time.

Other Noteworthy Pickups:

  1. Roy Williams (2 TDs last week, but on BYE this week)
  2. Kyle Orton
  3. John Kuhn (emerging over Brandon Jackson
  4. BenJarvus Green-Ellis
  5. Mark Sanchez
  6. Lawrence Maroney (got more of a workload than Buckhalter with Moreno out)
  7. Aaron Hernandez (plug in TE for BYE week)
  8. Kenny Britt
  9. Dustin Keller (plug in TE for BYE week)
  10. Jermaine Greshman
  11. Tony Moeaki (on BYE this week)

  1. Brandon lloyd balled. What's up with Colston? And why does Aaron Rodgers love Finley so much? Seems like Jennings is MIA zero targets or reps in the second half of the Bear Game.

  2. B Lloyd is definitely looking fresh right now, but the receiving core in Denver is kinda up for grabs kinda where the inconsistency comes into play.

I personally have Colston on a few of my fantasy teams and it's been frustrating. You have such a great #1 WR in Colston, but Brees just can't help to spread the ball around leading to a diminshed fantasy score. I wouldn't worry though he's the #1 and is bound to have a breakout game soon.

Jermichael is a physical freak and is an easy target for Rodgers. He's big, fast, can catch, etc. but Jennings is a solid player when he gets his looks and definitely should throughout the season.
