Fantasy Forum: Week 5
I swear Sundays feel like Christmas for me when it comes to playing fantasy football. When we were young we could always expect getting the big gift that you peeked and saw in Moms closet a week before Christmas morning. I compare that to the studs on your team dropping the typical lines and keeping you happy, well most the time. But the most exciting part to me is getting that gift hiding behind the Christmas tree that you weren't expecting but made you the happiest, like Lance Moore or Brandon Lloyd going off for 100 plus receiving and 2 touchdowns, days like those get you off the couch jumping up and down screaming LETS GOOOO!!!!!.
But I digress, its week 5! We are a fourth way through the season and we have our disappointments this far, Ray Rice I'm looking at you! And our surprises like Austin Collie. Now you probably have a better feel of how your team and players are going to perform week in and week out. If you are not okay with how this is going it might be time to propose some trades, trust me I have. So you guys know the drill, hit us up with the questions for who to start or sit and even some trade ideas.

Hey I have Andre Johnson listed as questionable but he told NFL network he is going to play.
ReplyDeleteI would still check back in the morning since he plays in the early games.
I wanna trade Michael Turner. Any idea on the value I can get for him, I am looking for receivers.
ReplyDeletelloyd or garcon?
ReplyDeleteAndre should play, double check in a few hours.
ReplyDeleteHonestly if you trade Turner hi's price tag is low and not equitable to where you probably drafted him, but I would go after a Greg Jennings caliber wr or package him and a lesser wr for a Boldin/Roddy White.
I've read Balt is preparing for BLloyd and it's a tough d to go against don't expect big numbers out of him this week if anyone in Denver it might be Gaffney. Garçon is a gamble but if collie is out it's a good gamble that he will put up some decent stats
What about Tolbert? is he going to continue to get touches even though Mathews is back healthy?
ReplyDeleteLeSean McCoy has been updated to probable vs Niners today.
ReplyDeleteDo you think its a good time to sell high on Peyton Hillis?
ReplyDeleteand is Nicks the number 1 is NY?
With Randy Moss now a Viking do you see Moss's value increase or do you think Percy Harvin has a value increase as well now that Randy can stretch coverages?
ReplyDeleteAndre Johnson is going to start. News from NFL Live
ReplyDeleteYes I think Percy's value is going up somewhat but give the offense some time before you start counting on Harvin.
ReplyDeleteNicks is the number 1 for the Giants, He should have a nice game against the Texans.. Also look for Mario Manningham to have a decent game at the 3rd WR next to Steve smith and Nicks
San Diego has said to have Tolbert still be a important part of the running game for the time being but as the season progresses Mathews will start to take more and more carries. If you can pray on a team that needs a RB maybe package a wr and tolbert and trade up to bolster your starting line up.
ReplyDeleteBeen disappointed in Benson so far. how do you think he will do against Tampa Bay?
ReplyDeleteNot listed in our Injury report but Peyton Hillis will start but the injury he had is the same one he struggled with in college so we might see Harrison a lot more.
ReplyDeleteFlex position at best.
I think the move for Moss will be beneficial for his fantasy production. He'll be getting a ton more targets and looks compared to what he was getting in NE. Give him a week to adjust, but come next week he should be a top 5-10 WR as long as Brett can stay healthy.
ReplyDeleteIf you have multiple RBs and can afford getting rid of Hillis in exchange for a WR, right now is a good time since his value is high. He probably will have decent production throughout the season, but as Harrison becomes healthier look for Hillis to share his touches.
ReplyDeleteI would hold on to Tolbert for the time being, it seems like the coaching staff in SD really like him and will give him the touches he deserves even when Matthews is back in full swing.
Benson has had a really slow start no doubt, but after having a pretty solid game today have more faith in plugging him in your starting lineup for the coming weeks.
Furthermore it looks like B Lloyd has really set himself apart in Denver by putting up huge numbers week after week plus Orton is playing ridiculously well. Moreno is close to return, which might impact his value, but not by much.
