MLG Final Boss takes $700,000 Halo National Championship
Im sure most of you didnt know this but the Halo 3 National Championship just came to an end this past weekend. Most people would'nt put professional gamers into the category of an athlete but they are starting to get paid that way.
Final Boss, the New York Yankees of the Gaming World have taken another title home and a $700,000 dollar pay day with it. The team has changed a few members over the years but the one constant has been Orge 2, one of the twins from the most famous duo "The Orges". With his leadership Final Boss has now collected there 5th National Championship along with other wins on the MLG Curcuit. Final Boss was also the first team to have a contract with MLG gaming but are also sponsored by Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas, AMP energy and XBOX, netting them a few million over the past few years. If you guys are interested in how they all happens you have to look at the growth in the gaming community, it has turned into a huge event that hits the biggest cities for its tournaments and has huge turn outs in attendence and the prize money has risen 15% each year for the Professional teams that place in the events.
