Breakfast & Beats

Beats

I remember Freshmen year (4 years ago) listening to Hollywood Holt's - Caked up (Hot Pink Delorean Remix) in Santa Barbra. Song was good for listening loud and going absolutely berserk during a pregame with your boys. Some songs have that effect of getting people buck. After recently chillin' with the hipsters this weekend this Fulguk song really did it....this is a definite improvement over the freshmen year(s) song...At least you can listen to this one with the broads during your next pregame before school starts...Enjoy.

This song is a bit old, but its apparently for all the people posting shitty La Roux remix's on Facebook lately...

La Roux - In For The Kill (Le Castle Vania Remix) by DJTASTEe

Not the biggest fan of Dub Step sometimes because too much bass gets annoying but damn Flux has some bangers...I just cant stop!

Now after all that bass we'll chill out with some Damian. Awesome CD with Nas that dropped late April (Would have posted it then if we had this blog then...). Look out for one of my favorite rappers next week, Big Boi from Outkast and his new album from last month "Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty".

Breakfast!

Now for breakfast...the next person I hear order two scrambled eggs, 2 sausage links and a side of toast for breakfast at a restaurant I'm gonna kill em. Why do you travel so far for such a plain meal, and I know its not because its cheap. 2 eggs 2 links and a piece of toast shouldn't cost more than a buck, but places will charge 5 bucks. Here's a hint for going out to eat and having a satisfying experience...Order something you cant make, or cant make well...Blueberry Stuffed French toast for example! At least after this receipe you'll have an idea of how to make them now!

FOR 13” X 9” GLASS BAKING DISH (SERVES 12)

  • 12 slices “Dutch” bread crust removed and cut into 1” cubes
  • 2 8 oz. packages of Philadelphia cream cheese (cold) cut into ¾” cubes
  • 1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 dozen large eggs
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 2 cups 2% milk

Sauce: For large dish

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1½ tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1½ cups water
  • 1½ cups blueberries
  • 1½ tablespoons butter
Arrange ½ the bread cubes in a buttered glass baking dish. Scatter the cream cheese over the bread and
sprinkle blueberries over the cream cheese. Arrange the remaining bread cubes on top. In a large bowl,
whisk together the eggs, syrup and milk and pour evenly over the bread mixture. Cover dish with foil and
refrigerate over night. In the morning, remove from refrigerator ¾ hour before baking.
Preheat oven to 365ยบ F and bake covered for 30 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking for 30 minutes or
until the French toast is puffed and golden.
To prepare sauce, (can be prepared the night before) in a small saucepan, stir together sugar, cornstarch and
water. Cook over moderately high heat, stirring occasionally for 5 minutes or until the mixture has
thickened. Stir in the blueberries and simmer, stirring occasionally for ten minutes or until the berries have
burst. Add the butter and stir the sauce until the butter has melted. Serve hot over the French toast.
Serve with crispy bacon.
