Week 4 Recap + Week 5 Pickups

Another wild week in football with player trends starting to emerge and the Jaguars upsetting the Colts. Week 4 definitely had its ups and downs with Vick, LeSean McCoy, Clinton Portis, and Andre Johnson all out with injuries and some real duds by fantasy regulars such as Randy Moss, Santana Moss, Sims-Walker, and Hines Ward. However it was a huge week for some old timers, LT and TO whom really put on a show and proved their worth producing fantasy gold. Furthermore at this point, we know Arian Foster is the real deal after being benched a whole half of football to come back in the second half and rack up 187 total yards on the day and score two TDs. Antonio "Enemy at the" Gates is thriving in the San Diego offense with Vincent Jackson absent and Reggie Wayne is compiling huge numbers despite the plethora of options Manning has in Indy.

A few updates in the NFL and for Fantasy owners:
  1. Randy Moss traded to the Minnesota Vikings.
  2. Marshawn Lynch traded to the Seattle Seahawks, Julius Jones released.
  3. Clinton Portis out 4-6 weeks (Ryan Torain will be replacing him, pick him up ASAP).
  4. Max Hall is the new Arizona Cardinals starting QB. :/
  5. Darren McFadden's hamstring injury could be detrimental, look for Michael Bush to have a big week.
  6. Sit Cedric Benson, Michael Vick, Sims-Walker, Jahvid Best, Marion Barber in week 5.
  7. For BYE week plug-ins start Sam Bradford, Ladell Betts, Michael Bush, Ryan Torain, Jabar Gaffney, and Tony Moeaki this week.

Week 5 Pickups

  1. Sam Bradford - Has been impressive thus far especially in a diminished offense with minimal weapons.
  2. Ryan Torain - Filling in for Portis and put up solid numbers last week in Clinton's absence.
  3. Tony Moeaki - Is Cassel's go-to guy and has been making some spectacular catches.
  4. Chris Ivory - Splitting time with Betts and seems to be a true runner, look for Betts to play on passing downs though.
  5. Ladell Betts - If Pierre Thomas can't play this week, look for Betts to be a big part of the passing and running game
  6. Michael Bush - With Run DMC out, should put up solid numbers as a starter.
  7. Davone Bess - Starting to look solid, especially with BMarsh taking all the heat.
  8. Brandon Tate - Will have a bigger role with Randy Moss out of the picture.
  9. Mike Bell - Will start if LeSean McCoy can't suit up this week.
  10. Marshawn Lynch - Traded to Seattle for a reason, he could really help their running game.
  11. Aaron Hernandez - versatile TE in the NE offense and could help fill in for Randy Moss' absence.
  12. James Jones - Someone to keep in mind if Greg Jennings or Donald Driver go down as he is respectable talent.
